Everyone knows my take on crews and top crew honors. Those of you who don't are about to find out.

I think Top Crew should be earned. Have the fastest car, win the most races, but make sure they are real races, not a billion races against the same POS Honda that is tuned to run 38 seconds.

Let's make Top Crew mean something. Let's make it something that has to be earned. "How you gonna do that," you ask?

Make Top Crew competition a ladder. Any crew that is formed is automatically listed in the ladder once they have a car. The ladder assigns them races against other crews at random. The crew leaders can chose to accept, or they can chose to decline. Decline and you lose points... accept and you pay 25K, but you get 50K when you win. Make the calculation for Top Crew to include the cash, win/loss ratio and negative points for declining races.

This way all the crews will have to keep top cars, accept races and race against all the other crews in order to win Top Crew honors. The winning crew is the one with the most wins, the least amount of declines and the hardest workers. Just the way it should be.

What do the rest of you think?

That is a FINE idea, would be great if the whole game was besed on merit. I am not sure if Crescent can write the code for all our ideas in less than 2-3 months though.........

Let them take their time writing the code. Perfection is a time-consuming project and that's ok with me as long as it it getting more and more perfect with each new session.

thats a pretty good idea...that would totally take out helpers....well not totally but ya...it would help reduce the helper crews and jus based on a fast car...

Right now the way the game is it is about getting a bunch of CM's, building a car and then racing the same crew cars again and again and letting them do all the work. They have to keep making money in order to keep racing the main crew while the main crew rakes in the winning cash and keeps all their own.

The whole point is that it doesn't take any skill to buy a Honda and race it against another Honda when the helper car is tuned to lose to a snail.

Take helper crews out of the equation completely and make it a combination of hard work and racing FAST cars against other REAL crews.

Yea i remember chatting to you about this on MSN the other nite, there may b one problem based on this tho, basically your making MC to much like TS, by basing it on points, not money.

This may also lead to the decline in people spending to get top crew, if they cannot be garenteed the top crew place

nah, the spending comes in with the building of experience and you still have to work to make money. All of that is unchanged. Crews will spend in order to get higher levels cause that is how they will continue to get higher level cars and faster speeds.

Besides, we are talking about changing just the crew side of things, not the whole game system.

I third that one.. I went last round withoout spending a dime.. The round prior to that.. I spent a decent amount and got a better spot when round ended..But my ratio was a hella lot better than this round which helped in getting CM's. So it was worth it

ok i see where you're coming from...i dont know if you've ever been a crew leader before but the whole crew car thing is screwed up. you cant put all the parts on or tune faster than 10.0. i think a coulple people have gotten lucky but the crew car thing is like a bug...so that idea wouldnt work right now. (i dont know if they've fixed it by now, have they?)

That sounds sweet. Itll even give all those lesser crews a chance at top 10 since most of the best players are all in the same 6 or 7 crews anyways. Lesser crews and players will make a name for themselves each round. I say get started coding that!
