From what I've seen the best method right now for a racing car (as opposed to a car in your garage for PF) is to have a Porsche 911 and only buy weight reduction. No other mods at all. It's almost as fast as if you bought all the other mods with a few benefits.

Pros:
Reliability goes down about .03% a race
Uses less fuel
No need to test n tune cause you didn't buy any parts that change the setup (for some reason weight reduction doesn't effect test n tune)

Cons:
Not as fast as you could have for your level
Low PF

i have found that the Porsche 911 is the second fastest car in the game

behind the saleen

if u would properly tune the car and add all the parts that give u handling rating

then u would see that the car is actually faster than everything else...with the same benefits as u stated before

now yes it does not have a high PF...but thats why u have the ability to change cars

just change cars to cruise...then get back in the 911 to race...its what ive been doing since i came back

911 (Fastest no doubt about it) it passes the Shelby at level 55 or so

Shelby Cobra (2nd fastest) Fastest from 30-55

Saleen S7R (when built properly) Level 55 to buy and is about .05 slower than a shelby cobra and about .075 slower than a 911
