Rumor has it that this game will change and that all icons will be taken away, WTF this will drive many people up the wall, ITS A FUCKIN SCAM. Its only TRYING to encourage the BIG spenders to respend, It would be a complete waste of time, effort and money on all the years ppl have played the game. Alot of the time people spent alot of mony just to get the incons rather than the prizes. THIS IS BULLSHIIIIT, I HOPE THIS EFORT TO MAKE PEOPLE RESPEND FAILS MISERABLY. :mad:

Hey queensh!t. Opinions are like a$$ holes, everyones got one. I don't play TS anymore, but it is a very good game if you know what your doing. Normally I wouldn't agree with vegito, but on this occasion I agree with him 100%.

Back on topic again, It is Raymonds game, he has provided us all with 2 great games, both of which he could just cancel totally if he wanted to. He has provided us with this game, he has made some very good decisions in the past, and even though some people didn't like some of the changes, you all learnt to live with them. It will be the same again. It will take some time to acctually get the hang of it, but I am positive that Raymond wouldn't have considered making a change like this if he thinks that it is going to be a bad decision.

P.S. SSvegito, if there are any spelling errors that you want to correct in my post, you have my permission.

I dont understand why people are getting so frustrated. Especially over a top 25 icon. This is one of the best things I think they could of done. Especially after the reset. Thats what they are doing. Resetting the game completely. Everybody starts again from the beg. but your past accomplishments are not going unnoticed. You will be honored for what happened in the past. Just right now everybody will be equal.

This is how I look at it. I am a n00b like everybody else at that point. I have nothing special or more than anybody else. Maybe people wont send me PM's now, who knows. I might change my name who knows

I know that when I first started on MC, I was always sending messages to Jason and Zura and also to HelpDoctor. I saw that they had all of the medals and they would be good people to ask for advice. They helped me out big time, but I also know that they, and many other people would be getting very pissed off with it.
I don't have any medals, I would be lucky to spend 2 hours per day on the game, but I know how many people I have helped out. I spend nearly as much time on my account as I do on noobs accounts helping them.
The reset(if that is what it is) will help alot of the vets/pros/origanal MC players the most because they won't be spammed with messages from newbies asking for advice.

See that is one place I disagree with you on. It doesnt always take money, but yes it takes friends. Thats what this game is about. Making a team, networking yourself. This game is excellent for people wanting to go into corporate america. You get the BS with the good, the evil with the bad. You have to learn to network yourself out. Not only with the vets, but with others that arnt vets. Listen to this. I remember when Harley just started playing the game. We were both in the crew Bangzoom. The leader was an awesome girl. Would help us out with any aspect, but would also teach us how to learn the stuff. You read the "bible" by Teet. He goes into the HI #'s and what not, but he tells you to talk to people, and also play around with it yourself....

I am kinda glad to see all this happen, I mean it seems those of us who have more to lose than anyone are more ok with it than those with one medal. Hell I have the second most HI wins in the game second only to dan danger, getting all the other medals was hard to do, and I really wanted all of them so the struggle was worth it. I know however that I did it and since there is nothing for me to prove why would I be angry?

Yes I bought creds to learn, you dont like it? Dont buy them and take years for each top 25 icon, thats all there is to it.

from a business standpoint, i think it's an awesome move. reset icons and ppl will pay to be amongst the first to have them next time around. what's wrong with that? completely nothing. if you're running a business, you want to capitalize on profits any way you can. that's the beauty of capitalism isn't it? it's not like this is some kind of really unfair sinister plot.

I agree with a bit of this... but what worries me is that some people will get slighted for this so called "Hall of Fame".

For example, look at someone like Adam (Harley)...he doesn't have alot of medals, because he usually gives up his net and helps other win or place nearly every round. Nobody in here would tell you that he can't play with the best of them though, especially considering he has never spent in the game! I do the same nearly every round, dumping cash to players when they make their jump...i can't even tell you how many people i have helped get a win...but I can tell you it's been nearly every winner for the last year.

There are alot of people like Adam in this game who would have alot more medals if they gave out medals for helping...but they don't. I would hate to see people like that slighted for this so called "Hall of Fame".

My official opinion of things mentioned in this thread:

Reseting the medals would suck. I know i worked hard for both of my top 25's and done what has been asked of me in the top crews that i have been in. I haven't spent a dime in months, and it took me the better part of a year to get them.

As far as a hall of fame goes, I think it is an awesome idea.

I was actually thinking before i read this that haveing a "retro" round of mc where it goes back to the first bugless version would be a good move.

that is a very good question. i'm pretty sure ray will probably call together a panel from some of the top players and mods.

but i've done my fair share of helping ppl win or place. i haven't gone for top 25 in the longest time (mainly cause medals aren't really worth too much now days and it's a requirement to spend in order to get top cj'er and hi'er). but if the hall of fame were to allow in all those ppl who've been "helpers" there'd be way too many ppl to pick from. in order to win you'd have to have A LOT of people's help. unless of course you've helped with a dozen of multies. nobody is gonna admit to that. ;)

The way I have kind of looked at it from my first days playing this game was the people with the most Icons were in my eyes the hall of fame. I still remember asking players like Nicke_Kredit and Monte_Man what those Icons meant next to their name, but I never got a response. I mean there was no specific list, but when you logged on and seen people with a ton of Icons you knew they were good. My previous post was by no means saying I deserve to be in the hall of fame, but maybe one day I will deserve it. I just dont think my recent accomplishments should be thrown out the window.
