Because if your the leader, and the cms you gain, if you move to another crew you will keep them.
But if you move from a crew when you arnt a leader you will loose all your cms

the timer was on and just expired 40 min ago...

Yep timer was just up. Normally mc starts later then this.
But atleast if they made the timer early, they could have posted in forums, keeps everyone updtaed on when the game is actally going to start!
Instead of waiting, go to town and the games been started for two hours. And yourve been waiting for the game to start for hours.
