I would make fun of you for not reading the FAQ, but I am very aware that the FAQ does include many mistakes and I am not surprised that someone wouldn't want to trust it. Add your reaction time and elapsed time together and you get total time. That's how the winner is decided. You will see your reaction time was about .7 seconds worse than his and that will explain why you lost.
